Infanta Isabel of Coimbra (Isabella of Portugal) (1 March 1432December 2, 1455) was a Portuguese infanta and the first wife of King Afonso V of Portugal.

She was a daughter of Infante Pedro, Duke of Coimbra and Isabel of Aragon. Her maternal grandfather was Jaume II, Count of Urgell.

Isabel and Afonso V were married on May 6, 1448. Both the bride and groom were sixteen. They had three children:

  • Prince John (January 29, 1451-April 22 1455)
  • Princess Joan (February 6, 1452-May 12, 1490): Known as Saint Joan of Portugal or Saint Joan Princess. Canonized in 1693 by Pope Innocent XII.
  • John II of Portugal (March 3, 1455-October 25, 1495): Succeeded his father as 13th King of Portugal.

Isabel died unexpectly eight months after the birth of her last child, aged twenty-three, possibly by poisoning.
