[edit] Emmerdale
In 2006 the production team behind the hit ITV1 show Emmerdale decided to replace the established character of Victoria Sugden with a more mature actor. The character of Victoria had been in the show since 1994 and had been played by Jessica Haywood (1994-1998) and Hannah Midgley (1998-2006). In an attempt to change the character it was decided that the role should be re-cast. Isabel Hodgins secured the job and began filming on August 21, 2006. Her first episode aired on October 13, 2006. [1]
Isabel spends 2 - 3 days a week filming in Leeds and continues to attend Bright Sparks At The Mill in Legh Street, Eccles, every Saturday. Also, she now attends Bright Sparks Drama Academy on Tuesdays. [1]

Isabel currently lives at home with her Mum Karen (40) and her elder siblings Adam (17) and Charleigh (18). [1]
Isabel, who also attends the Francine Garter School of Dance, has been dancing and acting since she was four-years-old.

Hodgins was nominated for 'best newcomer' at the TV choice and TV Quick awards 2007.
Hodgins was also nominated for the spectacular scene of the year award at the British Soap Awards 2007 for the scene where Victoria and Billy Hopwood were involved in a truck crash. The car crashed into a lake and sank. Emmerdale won the award but for a show home explosion story in July 2006.
