[edit] Early life

Isabel was born on March 9, 1976 in the Philippines to a part-Spanish chief marine engineer father and a pure Spanish homemaker mother named Isabel V, also known as Mommy Guapa (the Spanish word for “beautiful”). She and her parents settled back in El Ferrol del Caudillo, Spain. She speaks fluent Spanish, Tagalog, and English. Her father died of disease in 1995. When she married Geryk Genasky Aguas, her mother was not present because of the latter's disapproval.

[edit] Career

Her career eventually blossomed after auditioning for That’s Entertainment in 1986, where she became a member of the Tuesday group. She then recorded an album with songs like “Crush Na Crush Kita” (You are Really My Crush) and “Di Na Bale” (Never Mind).
