[edit] Playing Career
During the 2002-2003 season, Osbourne found his way into the first team at only sixteen years of age. He was awarded the 'Young Player of the Year Award' in 2005; previous winners of the award include Gary McSheffrey and Chris Kirkland.
During the early months of the 2005-2006 season, he was a regular first team starter, but he damaged a collateral lateral ligament early in 2006, ruling him out of the second half of the season.
A little way into the 2006-2007 season, he was loaned out to League One side Crewe Alexandra, featuring in their League Cup game against Manchester United. He has subsequently been recalled by Coventry, making his first appearance of the season in the 1-1 draw at home to Southend United F.C.
