Isaac Bloom

Isaac Bloom (born about 1716; died April 26, 1803) was a United States Representative from New York. Born in Jamaica, Queens County, he moved to Dutchess County about 1740. He was a captain of minutemen of the Charlotte precinct in Dutchess County (1775), was a merchant (1784) and from 1788 to 1792 was a member of the New York State Assembly.
Bloom was a delegate to the New York state convention in 1801 and was a member of the New York State Senate from 1800 to 1802. He was elected to the Eighth Congress, holding office from March 4, 1803 until his death in Clinton, New York. Interment was probably in Jamaica.
