Irwin Mitchell

Irwin Mitchell is a major firm of solicitors in the United Kingdom, with offices in Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield, and the Spanish cities of Madrid and Marbella. The firm has one hundred and four partners, one thousand two hundred fee-earners and two thousand three hundred staff. The Senior Partner of the firm is Michael Napier QC, and the Managing Partner, Howard Culley.
Established in Sheffield in 1912 by Walter Irwin Mitchell, it now boasts the twenty-second highest annual turnover for a law firm in the UK [1] and its recent merge with the Scottish firm Golds made it the fourth largest law firm in the UK by number of fee-earners [2].
Although originally a criminal law firm, Irwin Mitchell now provides a range of commoditised legal services to the banking industry, as well as undertaking high-profile insurance work.
