Irving S. Shapiro

Irving Saul Shapiro (July 15, 1916, Minnesota - September 13, 2001) was an American businessman. He is best known for being the chairman and CEO of DuPont (December 1973-1981)
He was born as a son of Lithuanian Jewish immigrant family. He was the father of a lawyer. He was the grandfather of several children. His wife died in 2006.
He was also business friends with former president Jimmy Carter.
