[edit] Brown Line Capacity Expansion Project

The Brown Line Capacity Expansion Project aims to allow 8 car trains on the Brown Line by the extension of the platforms at all stations. At the same time all Brown Line stations are being upgraded to meet ADA requirements. As of 2006, Irving Park Station is scheduled to rebuilt as part of this project[3]. Irving Park Station closed for 12 months from 3 December 2007, during which renovations and upgrades will take place.
