Irving I. Gottesman

Irving I. Gottesman (b. 1929, Cleveland, Ohio, USA) is a psychiatric geneticist who devoted most of his career to the study of the genetics of schizophrenia.

In 1990, Gottesman received the Dobzhansky Lifetime Achievement Award from the Behavior Genetics Association,[1] followed in 2007 by the Gold Medal Award for Life Achievement in the Science of Psychology from the American Psychological Foundation.[2]
