Thanks for fixing the typos and adding information. However, one thing - we've decided (at least unofficially) to use 1863 as the beginning date of the subway, as that's when the BMT West End Line started (not 1864, unless the info on that article is wrong, though 1864 IS when it reached Coney Island). Using 1904 is rather arbitrary, as the system includes not only the subway downtown but large sections of surface and elevated lines as well - and it's not a case of a steam line being abandoned and then reused by the subway system, but being in continuous use and converted along the way. I have been looking through the list of unwatched pages (available only to administrators) and found 125th Street (IRT Lenox Avenue Line station). I see that you recently edited this but are not watching it. You may want to go to your preferences and under the "editing" tab turn on "Add pages you edit to your watchlist". Hey, I noticed you are correcting the opening dates on the PATH station articles. Given all your great work on New York City Subway articles, I really don't question your changes here. [edit] Those 9/9 Service Changes

There is obviously a pathological mind at work. He doesn't seem to be the typical Wikipedia vandal. I understand that the same person is spreading similar misinformation on SubChat (an Internet discussion forum where I do not participate). I don't know what the poor guy will do on September 10. On SubChat (where I do participate) no one was spreading that information. What happened was that someone had seen the erroneous info here on Wiki and wanted to know if it was true. That is how I found out that the vandalism was happening. Once it was determined (more by a consensus of those in the know) that there was nothing to the rumor (or at least nothing announced) the subject was dropped and has not been brought up since.
