Irtha

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Irtha is the name for Mother Earth according to the Oera Linda Book, now known to be a hoax. Possibly the same deity as Nerthus, mentioned by Tacitus in Ch. 40 of the Germania (AD 98), who was worshipped on a sacred island in the North Sea.
