Hey. I saw you warned an anonymous vandal. Thank you for that. There is, however, an easier way to warn vandals: by using the user-warning templates. For example, you can stick the template {{uw-d1}} onto the talk page of someone who blanks a page or any content. When it gets more severe (i.e. he continues blanking), you can use more serious templates, like {{uw-d3}}. Various templates exists for different purposes ({{uw-v1}} for general vandalism, {{uw-t1}} for test edits, etc). Also, please "substitute" these templates (use {{subst:uw-v1}} instead of {{uw-v1}}). Again, thank you for your help in countering vandalism! SalaSkan 13:11, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Charlotte 49ers - 1977 Men's Basketball

The 1977 men's basketball team was 4th place at the 1977 Final Four - they lost to Marquette and then to UNLV in the 3rd place game. --UNCCTF 03:36, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sorry

I thought it was you that changed it from 4th to 3rd, but it was apparently someone else. My fault. --UNCCTF 03:54, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image source problem with Image:CharlotteCollege.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:CharlotteCollege.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:14, 9 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] University of North Carolina at Charlotte

I have changed the importance of this article back to mid as it does not meet the criteria for high importance. You can look at the criteria for article assessment at Wikipedia:WikiProject_North_Carolina/Article_grading_and_ranking. Thanks Rob110178 09:42, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Ironman, while I do not argue the significance of UNCC, you have to look at it from the perspective of WikiProject North Carolina. I believe there is a WP for universities and maybe there it would rank higher but not with regards to WPNC. To give another example: Amtrak falls under WP Trains and would likely be rated High importance or maybe even top (I do not know off of the top of my head) but with regards to WPNC, it would only be Mid level importance. It is not uncommon to have one article fall under the purview of multiple projects each rated differently with regards to importance! If you have any questions, please let me know. [edit] Changes to UNC System =

I will roll back your changes to the UNC System. First, the numbers are based on data provided by the UNC System. Second, the Carnegie Foundation classification was correct. See: http://www.carnegiefoundation.org/classifications/sub.asp?key=748&subkey=15566&start=782

Please let me know if you feel the rollback was made in error.--Thunder (talk) 19:35, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
