I am a 21 year old biology student, currently working on my Master's (M.Sc.) at Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I obtained my Bachelor's degree at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Lyon, France, even though I spent my last year doing a student exchange at Concordia. I am really interested in entomology, and my M.Sc. is about mites and insects (specifically, mite and beetle associations).

Though I grew up in France, my family is British, and I am therefore fluent in French and English. This explains why I may use British English and not Canadian English!

Arthropods rule the Earth. 4 out of 5 animals is an arthropod, and a corresponding number of Wikipedia articles concern them. I have therefore started WikiProject Arthropods (shortcut : WP:ARTH), a WikiProject that aims to improve articles related to insects, arachnids, crustaceans and other arthropods. If you want to join, just add your name to the list of participants.

I own a Canon EOS 350D (Digital Rebel XT) which I use mainly to take pictures of insects and other arthropods. You can see the list of photos I have uploaded on my wikimedia commons user page (there are many more to come). One of them was made featured picture and picture of the day on September 27th, 2006 (see left), which is a great encouragement for me!
