Talk:Iron Mountains

[edit] Origin of the name
This topic should be addressed in the article, together with information about the iron and steel industry that began but did not prosper in the area. I know from living in the area for a few years that the nearby cities of Damascus, Virginia and Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee took their names from such activity: Damascus because Damascus, Syria had been a steel center, and Laurel Bloomery from nearby Laurel Creek and bloomery. – Wdfarmer (talk) 14:34, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
