Iron Tank

Iron Tank was developed by SNK for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It was set during the Battle of Normandy, however this is about as much as the game shares with actual events and weaponry of World War II. You play as Snake (not related to Metal Gear Solid), a top fighter sent alone into the war to destroy the Nazi's top secret missile launchers. You pilot the "Iron Tank."

The game features top down play. It is note worthy for having multiple paths, a rarity among games of its time.
