The Iron Horse Trail was once the rail link running between Waterloo and Kitchener. It has been converted to a bicycle and walking trail. It covers a distance of 5.5 kilometres [1]. The rail trail was opened on October 5, 1997 on an abandoned Canadian Pacific Railway line. It is part of the Trans Canada Trail
