Irene Murphy Keeley

Irene Patricia Murphy Keeley, JD (b. 1944, Brooklyn, New York) is a United States jurist. She began her career in private practice in 1980 and taught law at her alma mater, the West Virginia University College of Law from 1990 to 1991.

She was nominated to serve on the U. S. District Court, Northern District of West Virginia on April 1, 1992. She was confirmed by the United States Senate 10 days later and received her commission on August 12, 1992. She has served as chief judge since 2001.
