Great Britain and Ireland (1900–1920) |
Ireland did not compete at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany. It was the first, and so far only, summer Games that Ireland did not send any athletes to since its first as an independent nation in 1924.
Irish athletes were refused entry to the Athletics competitions due to the IAAF refusing to acknowledge the Irish governing body. [1]
