Irea municipality is a group of 27 villages and towns in the mountains of Arcadia prefecture, Greece. The principal town of the municipality is Paloumba. The region is known for the building workers named "mastori" who come from Servos village and Lyssarea town. Pausanias in Arcadika describes the ancient flourishing cities Iraia and Melenees and their buildings. An excavation near Lyssarea town uncovered buildings, mosaics, as well as gold and silver coins.
