The iRed Lite is a software program developed by tin:b Software, to allow customization of the Apple Remote, on compatible iMac computers. There is also a version for non-built in infrared receivers, iRed.

The following are some of the many uses for this software:
- Control iTunes
- Control Presentations (Keynote/PowerPoint)
- Photo slideshow control with iPhoto
- Wireless mouse
- Internet TV control
- Almost any task (provides customization options with AppleScript and mouse/keyboard control)

At the moment, iRed Lite is free, however the creator has plans to change to shareware license to help development, with a planned cost of $10.

- Customisable actions, using a variety of mouse control/keyboard control/AppleScript actions.
- Multiple "Layers", allowing you to have many different presets for the remote
- The ability to export/import Actions, so that you can share your creations with others
- Multiple Apple Remotes can be used, each set to use a different Layer automatically, so that you can control multiple programs at once.
