Menu dancing

Am not sure I understand your question regarding the menu. But I think you are experiencing something like the menu running away to the otherside when you are about to click on it. That used to happen to me on the mallu wiki. I never (bothered to figure) figured out why it was happening. If you are interested, a question on WP:VP/T will fetch you a speedy aswer.

Regarding the yellow banner, just add the following code to your user page:
<div class="usermessage"><div class="plainlinks">Leave me a '''[http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=User_talk:Irarum&action=edit&section=new message]''' | Send me a [[Special:Emailuser/Irarum|mail]].</div></div>

There is no generic code to do that. Hope this helps. -- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK16:51, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Looks like no reply from there. Its kinda tricky to understand it, maybe thats why. If not for me having experienced it beofre, I would've been clueless too, when you told about it. And oh, the "messageme-mailme" bar doesnt have any particular name, AFAIK.-- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK13:11, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Guruvayoor Kesavan

I suspect that the picture is not fair-use. Tintin (talk) 13:31, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

I'll reply after checking whether there is a convention for this. Tintin (talk) 05:03, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Jimbo

Ya, he's coming all right. See this, this and this. You are from b'lore, right? Lucky you. -- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK18:04, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Ya, Stallman seems to be touring India. He's in Kerala now. He's spitting it out hard against Microsoft, and compelling the Government to stop teaching Windows accross the schools in Kerala. He wants everyone to shift to free software.-- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK06:06, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Malayalam wiki

Hi! I left a message at Manjithkaini's user page, but I fear he is busy at the moment. I was wondering if you could answer that for me: Is the mallu wiki following the featured article process? TIA!-- thunderboltz(Deepu) 13:41, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Okay. Thanks for the info. You are right. The Malayalam wiki is still in its infancy. Not yet time to think of FAs. About reverting to an old revision, see Help:Reverting. Regarding the russian interwiki link, I've corrected the coding error that was causing it. BTW, congrats on reaching a 1,000 articles on the mallu wiki. -- thunderboltz(Deepu) 15:16, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

DYK

Updated DYK query On 26 September 2006, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Mullaperiyar dam, which you created. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

M. Dam

Greetings. An IP editor changed "The Idukki Hydroelectric project, located 50 km downstream..." to 30 km downstream. What's the correct number, 30 or 50 km? Biruitorul 23:10, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Sounds good. Thanks for clarifying. Biruitorul 19:16, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Jyathivevsthithi.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Jyathivevsthithi.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Image:Nair.jpg

Hello, Irarum. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Nair.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Irarum. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 07:03, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Kesavan.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Kesavan.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:13, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
