User talk:Iradminru
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?
I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.
You have several options freely available to you:
- If you can relieve my concern through discussing it here, I can stop worrying about it.
- If the two of us can't agree here, we can ask for help through Wikipedia's dispute resolution process, such as requesting comments from other Wikipedians. Wikipedia administrators usually abide by agreements reached through this process.
- You can keep your contributions history under a new username. Visit Wikipedia:Changing username and follow the guidelines there.
Thank you. SGGH speak! 14:25, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Save the World
Also, I would advise you read WP:AUTO and WP:COI before creating an article on the save the world foundation of which you are (according to your user page) a founding member. It is highly inadvisable to create articles about yourself or organizations of which you are affiliated with, work for, or are the creator of. If you have any questions you can leave a message on my talk page, or place {{help me}} below with your question underneath it, and someone will be along to help you. - You can request your username be changed at WP:CHU. Thank you. ~Matticus TC 11:22, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- Since you have very few edits, and none in mainspace (articles, in other words), it might be simplest just to register another username and use that instead. The concern is about the word "admin" in your username; names which look as though they are administrators, sysops and so on are not allowed. See WP:U, particulalrly the section on "misleading usernames" for the Wikipedia policy on usernames. Tonywalton | Talk 11:27, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Art or object.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Art or object.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:06, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Buckkythingicon.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Buckkythingicon.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:06, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Buckkythingicon.gif
Thank you for uploading Image:Buckkythingicon.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 10:52, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
