[edit] Spelling of Muhadi
Is "Mahdi" spelled like that or "Mahdy"? There are two spellings used in the article. I believe "Mahdi" is the preferred spelling, but am not sure. I realize that Arabic words don't always go well into English; the consonants are different and the vowels vary based on the region, so there are multiple spellings. Anyway, it's my thought that one spelling should be chosen. Defenestrating Monday 02:13, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Better Article Name
Any chance of a better name than "Iraq Spring Fighting"--definitely needed article but the name is kind of vague. Publicus 14:20, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Well the Vietnamese offensive of january 1968 was called the Tet offensive but nobody didn't think of giving a formal name to the insurgent offensive in Iraq in the spring of 2004.Top Gun 03:55, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Introduction
After the sentance at the beginning that says, "The Iraq Spring Fighting of 2004 (April 4, 2004 - June 24, 2004) was a series of operational offensives and various major engagements during the Iraq War," could a sentence be added that says something along the lines of it being a turning point in the war from the US/Coalition vs. Insurgents to the beginning of militias and (religiously based/ Shi'a and Sunni)militant Iraqi groups becaoming involved in the conflict as well? Why not. Good add. Top Gun 0340, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
