should there be a category for Maltese Eurovision singers? What do other countries do? Srl 03:29, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] POV problems.

While it is nice that the artist's website gave permission for WP to use her official bio http://www.iralosco.com/html/bio.htm , it is an orgy of self-praise that is not acceptable under WP:NPOV.
I don't know enough about this artist to correct this issue, but it needs to be flagged. --sigmafactor 22:10, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

i edited it, i made it on my own.

Awesome job. Thank you so very much. --sigmafactor 17:26, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Official biography being corrected

Considering the biography was corrected by someone who claims to not know enough about the artist, how can it be claimed to be 'an orgy of self-praise'. Anything written in that biography can be easily checked with records on other sources even online to see if they're factual. Knowing the artist myself, I can assure you it is not 'an orgy of self-praise'. Anyone who somehow or other has crossed paths with her can assure you she does not indulge in self-praise AT ALL. Maybe before editing official releases, the new author should have done some research to see if what is claimed was true .... then ... s/he can show us where the self-praise is not merited, presenting proof.

[edit] Songs not in any of her own albums

I've seen songs "Imhabba Projbita" and "Ingawdu z-zghozija" floating around but not good information where or when Ira Losco did sing them the first time or if she even did. My Maltese language skills are pretty non-existing so I can't read any of the "local" sources. Monni 21:18, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] MySpace link

Please do not add the link to MySpace again unless you can prove it is the official site.

As it states in WP:ET, MySpace links should be avoided. I am not convinced it is the official site, and as the bio section is duplicated from the iralosco.com, there isn't any encyclopaedic purpose in including it anyway.

If you think it is notable and should be included, please comment on the discussion here at WikiProject Spam (not on this page, please). Unless it is decided it should be included, any further inclusions of the link will be treated as vandalism. Thanks. ~ ► Wykebjs ◄ (userpage | talk) 13:47, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Well if you really wanted to prove that www.myspace.com/iralosco is official you would have searched the official page. You didn't. The official page does not have a links page so you stop there?! Quoting Ira Losco herself from her message board,

[edit] NEW: Discography & Awards

The whole chunk lists of discography and awards were moved in a new page each, in order to organise the article. Browsing through other artists' Wikipedia page, this thing is done. So this "re-organisation" might help the article.
