Ira D. Colvin

Ira D. Colvin was a judge in Alabama.
Colvin servied as a District Judge in Pickens County Alabama from May 2004 to August 2006. Colvin was elected as a Democrat.
Colvin was removed from the bench after being arrested in Lowndes County, Mississippi for possession of methamphetamine in August 2006.
As a private attorney in 2001 Colvin was indicted on federal bankruptcy fraud charges. He was accused of hiding $25,000 in assets for a client. Charges were later dropped.
Colvin was admitted into the Alabama Bar in 1978 and into the West Virginia Bar in 1989.
