Currently this list includes people and incidents related to crimes committed in Iraq during the current war (occupation).

[edit] Name Change

This article has caused some problems with a few of the more right-wingnut POV editors who delete the category without looking at it first and so are (assuming good faith here)unaware of the 'or alleged warcrimes' part of the category's scope. I would suggest changing the name to 'Iraq war crime accusations' or something similar. This would not affect the scope of this very useful category but would hopefully solve the problems with some of our co-editors who find NPOV a bit too challenging. I haven't made any undiscussed changes here as it would effect quite a few articles and I'd rather get some alternative suggestions here first. 81.132.51.161 22:59, 12 February 2007 (UTC) Elmo

[edit] Classification of terrorist bombings

I am somewhat ambivalent about the inclusion of terrorist bombings in this category. Even though I think they do qualify, I don't know if they technically constitute war crimes (can there be war crimes without an official declaration of war?). Moreover, it seems like original research to include them here in the absence of sources that classify such acts as "war crimes". -- Black Falcon 20:05, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

The war crime article states that "Every violation of the law of war in an inter-state conflict is a war crime, while violations in internal conflicts are typically limited to the local jurisdiction." Thus, actions by the US against Iraq and vice versa may constitute war crimes, but actions by Iraqis against Iraqis do not. So, I am removing the terrorist bombings from this category. If anyone disagrees, please comment below. -- Black Falcon 01:39, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

There's a catogory about terrorism in Iraq alright.

Btw, people or companies are not "crimes" (unless it's a war crime to be this man or something?). --84.234.60.154 (talk) 10:42, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Should be "Iraq War crimes"

You know, Iraq War. --84.234.60.154 (talk) 10:46, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
