Iquan's Party

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Iquan's Party (Chinese:一官黨) was the pirate party led by Zheng Zhilong, who was also known by his baptismal name Nicholas Iquan Gaspard. It was one of the largest private companies in China near the end of Ming Dynasty.

It was divided into three divisions: an armed division known simply as Zheng's private army (鄭家軍), a merchant division known as the Five Merchants, and an intelligence division known as the Tiandihui (洪門天地會), which eventually evolved into the Triad society.
