The M2 Ipswich Motorway runs from the junction of Ipswich Road and Granard Road to the junction of the Warrego Highway and the Cunningham Highway between Brisbane and Ipswich, Australia.

It initially passes through suburbs like Rocklea, Oxley, Darra and Goodna in south west Brisbane and then crosses the eastside of Ipswich. The Motorway is directly connected to the M5 Centenary Freeway at Darra and the M4 Logan Motorway at Gailes.

This road has been identified in the South East Queensland Infrastructure Plan and Program as one requiring urgent attention so that future traffic does not become very congested.

In the coming months the Federal Government will reveal if it will fund a Northern Bypass of the Western section of the M2. Current estimates of the Northern Deviation range from AU$1.2b to over AU$2b. This 7km section of new Motorway will divert traffic from the Warrego and Cunningham Motorways over the Brisbane River. It would then connect back to the old road at the M2/M4 Interchange.
