Iosif Aronovich Piatnitsky (January 17, 1882 - July 29, 1938) was an associate of Vladimir Lenin since 1902, when he smuggled Lenin's propaganda into Russia from abroad.
He became head of the Otdel mezhdonarodnoi sviazi (OMS) when it was founded in 1921.[1]
