[edit] Request for help from Romanian Speaker.

Dear Ionescuac, I am wondering if you can help me. My name is Thor, and I work on the Wikipedia Spoken Word Project. We are trying to record articles in spoken form for the use of those who cannot read well, or have a visual impairment. The article I am currently preparing, Hail Mary, includes Romanian text which I am unable to read for the recording.

I was wondering whether you would be able to record the Romanian text for me, and upload it to Wikipedia, and it will then be converted and included in the recorded article. You will be listed as a contributor on the final recorded article when it is uploaded. Your help would be welcomed if you can assist. Thank you, Thor Malmjursson 12:44, 3 April 2007 (UTC) (talk)

[edit] Answer

If you are talking about this I might be able to help. :D ionescuac(Talk) 21:58, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Yes, that's exactly what I want, Ionescuac. If you could read that out and record it on your computer, and send it to me in an email, I will add it to the article. Like I say, you will get listed as a contributor on the final recorded work. Thanks! Thor Malmjursson 23:13, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Ionescuac, Thank you so much for producing that recording, it is incredible! Now I know why I never tried to learn Romanian...that sounds so complex!!! Once again, thank you. I will finish preparing the article once I have a Greek speaker and a Slavoinc (Bulgarian, etc) speaker to do the other 2 parts. The file has been downloaded and stored, so you may now safely delete it, with my upmost thanks for such a wonderful job! Thor Malmjursson 03:40, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. :D ionescuac(Talk) 15:59, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AFC

Hi Ionescuac! I realize you've been around for a while, but I notice you have not participated at WP:AFC much, so I hope you won't take this as a bad thing, but more of some helpful tips: When you close a submission at AfC, could you please remember to sign it, so it is known what editor reviewed it? (Sign it after whatever option you use, such as {{subst:afc v}} ~~~~ ) Thanks! It also really helps if you put an edit summary in when declining AfC submissions, (and if you'd like to have Wikipedia remind you when you forget, you can set your preferences to "prompt when edit summary is empty" on the "Edit" tab). Also, I'm not sure how much you've watched AfDs, but High Schools are generally notable, just like places, with only about 15% of the AfD nominations for schools reaching consensus to delete. However, the submitter didn't give a reliable third-party source for that submission, so that could be a criteria used to decline. Anyway, again I hope you don't think me out of place, because AfC help is always appreciated, but it helps with consistency and lets other editors know why the submission was declined and by whom. Feel free to recycle (remove) this message after reading, if you wish. Have a happy weekend! ArielGold 14:15, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. That was my first AfC. :)
I was stuck between choosing if it was a recognized high school or a notable source. --ionescuac(Talk) 14:31, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, you don't have to research submissions to find sources, the submitter should do that, (although I sometimes do, mostly to see if they're really notable or not, lol) so either way is fine. Do you have the template page for the various AfC closures? It is here if you want to bookmark it. Also, feel free to use my toolbox or bookmarks to find anything else you may need, and let me know if you run into anything at AfC you'd like an opinion on, if I can't answer it I can point you to someone who can. Cheers! ArielGold 14:34, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I found the template from that page. --ionescuac(Talk) 14:43, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Excellent, then I can head to bed and leave AfC in your capable hands! Hee hee. Drop me a line any time if you want any help, cheers! ArielGold 14:47, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] deleting

I thought I could delete the info off of my talk page? Can you please delete off all the garbage? Can you please unprotect.

First of all the page is unprotected. I didn't do anything with it. Now, you shouldn't delete warnings off of your talk page unless an Administrator [1] says you can. You should ask one of them.
Also, consider adding four tilde marks (~~~~) when adding a reply so users can see where they come from. --ionescuac(Talk) 00:44, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
