[edit] PROD

This article was proposed for deletion. There was no attempted discussion, and I disagree with deletion. There are many articles on here with a technical audiance. If you don't like this article you can make it better. Fresheneesz (talk) 07:34, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

The supporting argument was "Stagnant technical documentation of no relevance to the non-specialist community". This is an accurate summation of the article. There's no making it better. Off to AfD. Chris Cunningham (talk) 07:58, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Why does it matter if its only relevent to a "specialist community" ? Does an encyclopedia article have to be relevent to *everybody*? Also, since when is an article deleted for being "stagnant"? Articles are stagnant all the time - GOOD articles. You don't need to change something every 5 minutes for it to be useful. I created this page precisely because it was difficult to find this information online. Don't destroy my work because you think its useless to *you*. Theres obviously more people than just me that have contributed to this article - implicitly endorsing it. Fresheneesz (talk) 09:18, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not a repository for random information, and especially isn't here to store technical documentation because someone couldn't find it elsewhere. You're the only major contributor to this article. In its AfD, it was suggested that it should be rolled back into C++ standard library, like its counterparts, and I plan to do this once I find the time. Maybe that way we can have one article which reads like encyclopedia content instead of six which are basically man pages. Chris Cunningham (talk) 10:10, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
