Iolotan gas field

Iolotan is a natural gas field in Turkmenistan with estimated reserves of 7 trillion cubic meters (TCM) of natural gas, and proven commercial reserves of 2.8 TCM. The gas field was discovered in November 2006. Former Turkmen president Saparmurat Niyazov invited Chinese CNPC and Turkish Çalik Enerji to participate in the exploration and development of the Iolotan field.
