Iola Leal Riesco

Iola Leal Riesco (born on 4 July 1977 in Lugo, Spain) is a environmental and social activist working for the Forests and the European Union Resource Network(FERN). [1] She is currently working on forest governance issues, and in particularly following the EU action plan for Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade. [2]
Prior to joining FERN, she worked for Amazonia Assemblea de Solidaritat, Skamot Verd, Asociación pola defensa da ría, and other environmental and Galician nacionalist groups. She is a Master of Science in Biology by the University of Barcelona.
