Iola is a city in Grimes County, Texas, United States. It is about 23 miles from Anderson and just over 30 miles from Navasota. It has a population of approximately 350.
On November 6, 2007, it became the fifth incorporated city in Grimes County after a residential vote.[1]
The Iola Independent School District serves area students.
NBA player Chris Andersen is from Iola and went to Iola High School.[citation needed]
