[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:YamahaFS1R.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:YamahaFS1R.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:CrimsonTonight.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:CrimsonTonight.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 20:55, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Melbourne Church
Exceptional? ... could you explain further? ... we really need some description and maybe a referenced comparison Victuallers 11:20, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
pardon? sorry, what's the question exactly? Inzy 11:35, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
The article said that the church was exceptional .... in what respect? Says who? It is the kind of claim that most churches, villages etc might make. Artilcles need a WP:NPOV ... Victuallers 07:50, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
what? yes, i know all that. that's why i deleted it. there was no source for the quote, if it was a quote. it appeared to be a judgement by the author of the aticle, so i deleted it. what point are you making? the item in question was deleted before you told me it was unsuitable Inzy 22:32, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
So we agree! I think I made an error, I thoought you had made the "exceptional" comment. Hence the confusion. Hope no offence was taken Victuallers 13:21, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
oh ok, no problem Inzy 19:14, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Deletions
You need to be able to say right at the start why they are notable, if you don't then it will get deleted. Other editors don't know that you are planning to flesh out the article and may think that you have finished. Read Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Notability (music). If your method is to get the information bit by bit then I would suggest rather than making a single line that says "Someoneelse is a minimalist techno act from Philadelphia, comprising ???, previously of Flowchart (band)" you create yourself a sandbox at User:Inzy/Sandbox. Then you can fill out the information bit by bit and when you get far enough that it meets the criteria shown in the above links put it into an article. 02:40, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Image-Mr Nice.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Image-Mr Nice.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:04, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Joy division (spy fim).gif
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Joy division (spy fim).gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. [edit] Qtopia Phone Edition
Another editor has added the {{prod}}
template to the article Qtopia Phone Edition, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 08:59, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
