This is Invertzoo's user page. I live in NYC. I started on WP in mid July of 2007. I enjoy research and writing, re-writing, improving prose, and clarifying.

I am knowledgeable on mollusks (I have over 20 published papers), and I am especially interested in the gastropods. I have improved a significant proportion of the articles in WikiProject Gastropods, even a good percentage of the stubs, plus a large number of other articles, as I encounter them.

I know quite a bit about the West Indian island of Nevis, which I have visited 12 times and which I take a particular interest in. (Nevis is half of the Federation of  Saint Kitts and Nevis.) I know something about classic films (especially Hitchcock movies), also about Tibetan Buddhism, and vegetarian food. I have a special interest in the history of National Lampoon magazine. I am reasonably knowledgeable on the subject of Menopause.

Two of the longer articles I have written from scratch are: Ed Subitzky and Micromollusk. Four of the articles I have made major improvements to are: Snail, Nevis, Redonda, and Menopause.

Some sea slug and nudibranch articles I have created from scratch (with images newly taken on the Central Californian coast by Mbz1 talk) are:

Chelidonura hirundinina, Triopha catalinae, Triopha maculata, Diaulula sandiegensis, Cadlina luteomarginata, Doriopsilla albopunctata, Aeolidia papillosa and Peltodoris nobilis.

And some more recent new mollusk articles are Phidiana hiltoni, Mopalia mucosa, Doto amyra, Geitodoris heathi. (More recently still, using Mila's images: Cymatium nicobaricum, a coral in Hawaii Pocillopora meandrina, and a seastar Leptasterias aequalis.)

I have been working on WP for less than a year, but I have close to 8,000 edits, and 7,000 of them are mainspace (article) edits. I have given one image to WikiMedia and intend to give more.

I don't usually put a "watch" on the pages I have worked on, as there are too many to keep track of.
