The subject of this article is undergoing an active, preliminary investigation by Wikinews reporters. [[{{{1}}}|Notes and a draft article]] are being worked on. Investigative reporting should not be added to this article, because unlike Wikinews, Wikipedia does not allow original research.

Usage instructions: This template needs to be called with an interwiki title of a Wikinews page, such as n:Man bites dog (without any square brackets). Note that "n:" is the prefix for linking to Wikinews.

History and purpose: The template was created by Eloquence* to deal with original research in the QuakeAID article on December 18, 2005. If a Wikipedia article turns into an investigation about a subject matter, it may be appropriate to use this template and move content to wikinews.
