[edit] Proposed merger
Clearly some of the Inverness-shire material is duplicated in the boundaries article, which has a wider scope. However, Inverness-shire is part of the historic county 'series' and in numerous lists relating to that series. The information in the latter of the two articles is not relevant to those larger collections. What would be the reason for the merger? Ben MacDuiTalk/Walk 07:53, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
What is there in Inverness-shire which is not covered by Inverness (boundaries), apart from tags, categories?

That's not the point. Snow Leopard is in the category Felines. If someone creates the article 'Feline' they put it in the category Feline, but don't add it to a list of Leopards. Similarly, Inverness-shire is in the List of pre-1975 counties of Scotland and all the associated lists, but Inverness (boundaries) is not and should not be in those lists as it refers to a different level of categorisation. Just to make it clear I am opposed to this proposed merger. Ben MacDuiTalk/Walk 18:43, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
