In 1897, the year of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, Her Majesty conferred on my father a peerage... family discussions on the title were many. At last Inverclyde of Castle Wemyss was decided (since) Castle Wemyss is situated at the mouth of the Clyde.
