Inversiones y Representaciones S.A. (IRSA) is one of Argentina's largest and most diversified real estate companies and is the only company within the industry whose shares are listed on both the Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires and the New York Stock Exchange. IRSA's Global Depositary Shares (GDS's) are listed and traded on the NYSE under the ticker IRS.

IRSA is engaged directly and indirectly, through subsidiaries and joint ventures, in a range of real estate activities in Argentina. The Company's principal activities consist of the acquisition and development, and operation of shopping centers and credit card operations; the acquisition and development of residential properties and undeveloped land reserves for future development or sale; the acquisition, development and operation of office and other non-shopping center properties primarily for rental purposes; the acquisition of luxury hotels, and the financial operations and others. During fiscal year 2006, IRSA owned interests in a portfolio of 56 properties in Argentina, located principally in Buenos Aires.
