Intio, born Inti Paravicini Suaznabar (May 16, 1986 in La Paz, Bolivia) is a Bolivian Biology student and an avid Green Lantern Fan. He also enjoys football (soccer) to a wide extent, being a Juventus supporter. His is son to Ana María Suaznabar and Clifford Paravicini.

[edit] Name Origins
Intio's full name is Inti Andres Paravicini Suaznabar.
His first name, "[[Inti]]", comes from the local word used for "Sun" or "God Sun", as the Sun was treated as the main deity by the aborigens of the Altiplanic region of Bolivia.
His second name had to be "Andrei" or "Andrea", the first being a tribute to World War II jew hero in te Warsaw Ghetto, Mordechai Anielewicz, a.k.a. Andrei Androvsky. The second option for his name was "Andrea", an italianized version of the name finally used on him, Andres (although in common Spanish, Andrés is written with a distress sign on the "e"). The final Spanish version of the name was used when his grandfather, Nicanor Suaznabar, was sent to a Civil Registration Center by Intio's parents to certify his birth and get him a legal ID. Nicanor, unaware of Intio's parents' final choice to name him "Andrea", thought his father misspelled Intio's second name, "correcting" it and naming him Andres in the end.
The father's last name, "Paravicini", is an italian last name that descends from the medieval name "Parraviccino". Intio's italian side of the family are originally from Parma, Italy; although the main source of the last name comes from Turin. Clifford often mentions that this great-grandfather was Argentinian, but his father was an Italian inmigrant who decided to settle in La Boca, Buenos Aires.
The mother's last name was a Polish last name, instead of spelling it "Suaznabar", it was spelled "Schwartznawr", but since it's spelling was to hard for everyone else outside the family to understand, and also with many legal problem behind due to misspelling, Nicanor decided to change the spelling as Spanished as possible, resulting in the actual name.
The nickname "Intio" was given to him after his friend's mother witnessed the time when he fell down from a second floor, landing on his back and inmediatly going back to his feet to go and take revenge on the person that pushed him. The woman's actual exclamation was "¡Qué indio!". In Bolivia, the term "indio" was often used to describe someone who is strong, painless and resistan, but not in a good way. The combination of both terms resuklted in the acutal nickname, "Intio".
Intio also uses the name "Phoenix Ion Prime" to refer to hhimself. He uses the term "[[Phoenix]]" to describe himself after a rough period when he felt he had "fallen" and neither him, nor his family ever thought he would "stand up". The only person who ever believed Intio would be able to overcome his pain was his cousin, Lucía Cabrerizo. He told him "I've seen you like this before. Fallen. Falling in what seems to be and endless pit of darkness. But I've also seen you when you wake up. You are like a Phoenix, Inti. You just never die, not for good". As he did overcome things, he felt he "rose from his own ashes", donnign the nickname "Phoenix". The second terms used in the name (Ion and Prime) are both allusions. The first one is to his favourite hero's, the former Power Ring wielder Kyle Rayner now known as the Green Lantern Ion; and the second one to one of Infinite Crisis main villiain and former hero, Superboy Prime. Both alluions are to indicate tat he has reached an elevated level of maturuty and knowledge through exoperience he now feels invincible, like both Ion and Superboy Prime.
