This is a concept to come up with a more robust and less fragile template for interwiki linking across categories.

The concept takes the capabilities of both the robust template:Commonscat1A and the template:WikiPcat1M types of category transwiki templates (including Wikibookscat1A, etc) and the cumbersome sisterlinks templates with it's fragile place sensitive pipe structure with an easier to program single replacement oriented left to right (banner style) so that it looks more like the sisterlinks version in Commons:Category:Commonsroot.

Secondly, the template is proposed to be on a sub-page '/interwiki' of the category page, with an embedded edit link similar to the templates used in {{interwiki doc page pattern}}, and can in fact contain the interwiki's as well. It manifests on the mother page, and Magic words {{BASEPAGENAME}} would keep things straight.

Here's the template need:

   re: Category:Music view the big greenish template here. Note that it's actually many templates cobbled together. What I'd like to see is a parameter progammed single template version wherein something like 'de.wdy=' would mean a link to the german wiktionary (Wiki-Dictionary, 'de.wbk=' german wikibooks..., etc. See the three letter mnemonics used in {{interwikitmp-grp}} for the sister keys. Any page with lots of interwiki's (suggest: Category:History of the United States will provide the basic two letter suffixes for the non-English language sister's, (actually, Music seems to have done a good job at that below!) so programming an add would add something like:
