Template talk:International median household income
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi Brendel. I have made a few updates. It appears that household incomes are stagnating in Austalia's biggest cites. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,21980793-5013169,00.html. By contrast incomes in New Zealand are zooming ahead, having grown nearly 50% since 2000. Although New Zealand (US$43000) still trials behind the United States (US 48000), with average NZ household incomes currently growing at 9.4%p.a. that gap could quickly close. [edit] Canada and PPP conversions
The official data for Canada's 2005 median household income was published yesterday. The official value CAN$53,634 was almost identical to our earlier estimate CAN$53,528.
The OECD has altered the PPP values, so I have updated to the table reflect the changes. Badenoch (talk) 04:20, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Switzerland
The 2005 data is actually the mean of the middle quintile rather than a true median. This should provide a good approximation to be within a few hundred dollars of the true median. In 2003, both methods returned a value of $54,000. If you have any objections please let me know. Badenoch (talk) 04:26, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
