- I= list, where 'list' is space separated sister abbreviations (cms, mta, wbk, etcetera) of all that apply. Used as both a boolean test and as a display indicating and highlighting that the sister does not have an empty name place for the template name. This automatically generates categorisation to Category:Interwiki templates varying on other sister projects, a tracking category listing known local name conflicts.
- D= Difference -- Like I, indicates a name is not free, or in this case, there is a sister who's version differs in some way for some reason, so updating needs be manual. Auto-categorizes to tracking category Category:Interwikitmp-grp exceptions to signify the need for care when updating. The different templates should be tagged locally with Interwikitmp-grp ineligible or use the DH=yes parameter below.
- DH= mnemonically: Diffrent Here, which covers both functional differences or different names, but the same template as others. If such a template is equivalent to the names used on other sisters, use the {{{2}}} override to tag the mapping to the common name elsewhere. Individual sister abbreviations (cms, mta, wbk, etcetera) take precedence over that, and will be used when given instead.
