An ISAC is also "Information Sharing Analysis and Control" -- working groups in various CNI industries (electricity generation and distribution, law enforcement agencies, wide area networking groups etc) to exchange operational information and intelligence under a "Chatham House" rule, especially where such information has traditionally been considered commericially confidential or other disincentives exist towards information sharing amongst peer organisations for whatever reason.
