[edit] Owned

Why was it changed from "funded by Universal Music Group" to "wholly owned by Universal Music Group?" Gopherbassist 02:36, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Broadcast end on 9 Jan 2008

As of Monday, 14 January 2008, IMF is still broadcasting on WOW! cable network. It's possible Ovation isn't ready to change programming yet... I have to admit I'll miss this channel because they broadcast videos from all over the world in a variety of genres and is true "music television" unlike MTV and VH1... Their "Feeds" on various bands/groups/singers have also been great giving insight as to how the performers came into the music industry as well as their influences and how they write their music. MTV and VH1 have nothing like this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brpellis (talkcontribs) 18:22, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Neutrality

"IMF had a unique format of playing music videos almost exclusively which was in direct contrast to so-called music channels that dedicate very little programming time to actual music videos such as MTV, VH1, and FUSE."

I don't know about you, but that sounds extremely biased to me. "Direct contrast" to "so-called music channels" sounds a bit derogatory. I understand that you might not agree with the programming of MTV, VH1, and FUSE but that does not give anyone a right to accuse them. I mean, I don't watch any of those channels but there has to be neutrality here. In addition, there is no citation whatsoever in the first paragraph where this sentence is.

Consider: -Removing the sentence entirely; the paragraph remains its meaning. -Changing the whole sentence to, "IMF had a format of exclusively playing music videos as opposed to adding serial programs and interview shows as seen on channels such as MTV, VH1, and FUSE.

(By the way, they created MTV2, Hits, and Jams for a reason)
