If the library is GPL licensed, especially with the addition that relevant parts can be used in proprietary software, wouldn't it be prudent to call it Free Software (not the OSI "invented" "Open Source" even with lacking leading capitals)? (knowing how OSI violates its own rules I'm not happy to use their terminology)
