Intrum Justitia is a credit management services (CMS) group based close to Stockholm, Sweden.

The group offers a wide range of CMS for commercial and consumer receivables and has a growth strategy that involves taking an active part in the industry's consolidation. It has revenues of approximately SEK 3 billion and about 2,900 employees.

Intrum Justitia's services cover the entire credit management chain, from credit information via invoicing and reminders to debt surveillance and collection of written off receivables. Most services are grouped within the service lines Consumer Collection & Debt Surveillance and Commercial & International Collection.

Credit management services (CMS) are provided throughout the entire receivables cycle - from the initial invoice until all outstanding debt has been resolved. CMS covers a broad range of services including; sales ledger services (invoicing and reminders), consumer and commercial debt collection, international debt collection, debt surveillance and debt purchasing.

Intrum Justitia also offers sales ledger services, purchased debt services and a number of specialized services related to credit management.

Through the brand European Payment Info (EPI), Intrum Justitia offers free access to unique information about payment behaviour (including contractual payment terms, delays, durations, and bad debt write-off rates), legal framework (such as statutes of limitations), and credit management.

Intrum Justitia was founded in Sweden 1923 by Sven Göransson. In 1970 his son Bo Göransson bought the company. The expansion of Intrum Justitia begun in 1971 with the acquisition of a debt collection agency in Switzerland. This led to many more acquisitions and today Intrum Justitia has offices in 24 European markets.

Since June 2002 Intrum Justitia has been listed on the Nordic Exchange (Stockholm).

The company provides debt collection services for a number of major clients incuding eBay and PayPal, and has acquired a reputation among some alleged debtors for the use of aggressive methods.
