Intro5pect
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Intro5pect is a punk rock band from Southern California, which often incorporates electronica influences into its music.
The band was formed in 1997 as a reaction to what the future members of the band felt was a commercialization of the punk genre. In 1998 they released a demo tape. In 1999 the Intro5pect 7-inch vinyl EP became the first release of the newly founded record label Geykido Comet Records. In 2002 the band signed to Anti-Flag's A-F Records, which released their self-titled full length album in 2003. Intro5pect is currently writing and recording their follow up album.
Although members have come and gone since 1997, the most stable and current line-up consists of the following members:
Dave - Vocals, Guitar
Chris - Guitar, Back Up Vocals
Gregg - Bass, Back Up Vocals
Donny - Drums
Sara - Keyboard
Recently, the band have recorded a demo version of a song entitled 'War At Home'. The song features vocals and lyrics from Stza of Leftöver Crack and is available to hear and download from the bands Myspace. The song features on the forthcoming E.P. Realpolitik! along with a cover of the Leftöver Crack song 'Nazi White Trash' - also featuring Stza.
In June 2007 Intro5pect were played on BBC National Radio 1. Mike Davis, DJ for 'The Lockup' played the 'War At Home' demo.
On October 16, 2007, the EP Realpolitik was released, featuring Stza on vocals from Leftover Crack.
