[edit] Career
The team start his career in the Formula VW Germany, the second year of their very young racing history, they won the championship with the German driver Sven Barth.
In 2004 they decided to go a step forward and went for the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup with the drivers Sven Barth and Jaap van Lagen and of course with the help of the team sponsors Interwetten. Even the first year they had several successes. Sven achieved the victory in Monaco which took place within the F1 event and Jaap van Lagen won in Oschersleben Grand Prix.
The following year, Renault founded the World Series by Renault, merging World Series by Nissan and Formula Renault V6 Eurocup. Again, Interwetten wanted to go another step forward and joined the World Series by Renault. The first year was not easy and it was hard to gain a foothold. The competition was very strong and experienced teams. In 2006, the team showed a great performance. With the drivers Andy Soucek and Eric Salignon the team won the Teams Championship and several race victories.
Following that successful year, a new partner ship between Interwetten and the world renown Mexican telecommunication company Telmex was made. With Salvador Durán, the team gained several podiums.
For the coming season 2008 the team expand the cooperation with Telmex. The two drivers from the Telmex drivers program are going to start this season for the Interwetten.com racing team. Next to Salvador Durán, his Mexican compatriot Pablo Sánchez López will also grip into the steering wheel.[1]
